Senior Financial Analyst
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting or finance or an equivalent amount of education and experience
- 3 -5 years of related accounting, auditing, and/or financial analysis experience
- Reasonable knowledge of accounting practices
- Must be proficient in complex statistical and financial analysis and presentation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Excel spreadsheets and MS Access.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired qualifications
- Relevant healthcare accounting experience preference with a background in a healthcare finance setting
- Proactive and driven to take on extra responsibilities, tasks, and projects
- Demonstrated competency in complex financial analysis and presentation
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting to management/leadership
- Knowledge of the StrataJazz Budgeting tool
- Knowledge of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics policies, procedures, and regulations
- Knowledge of University of Iowa People Soft purchasing system
