UI Health Care's Marketing and Communications department has an opening for a skilled Web Content Strategist to join the Digital & Multimedia team. The role works with internal clients to build, maintain, and expand UI Health Care’s varied web properties. The strategist will lead site architecture, strategy and roadmap product improvements in collaboration with the development lead, with a focus on metrics-based tracking associated with defined business, marketing, and engagement goals.
Responsibilities:
Content and Web Product Strategy
- Create, manage, and re-purpose web content
- Use SEO principles and tools to improve web content and measure site performance.
- Lead the strategy of content organization and site structure, Including the tagging, linking, and categories of content.
- Understand web metrics associated with content performance and goals.
- Be a resource for answering web analytics questions and providing data to stakeholders in UI Health Care
- Collaborate on the roadmap for site building with developer and stakeholder leads throughout UI Health Care.
Departmental Collaboration Responsibilities
- Work with clients to create and communicate site goals and metrics
- Work directly with the lead developer, director of digital, and other stakeholders on build a roadmap for future development, and feature enhancements
- Oversee our web issue submission portal. Properly distribute those throughout the web team, and assist improving the web best practice knowledge of those who submitted issues.
Team Leadership
- Lead a team of web content editors. Help provide training and best practice support for becoming web strategists.
- Collaborate with others on usability studies, ensuring that our websites are following requirements for all adopted ADA compliances.
- Serve as a lead for growing interest in web best practices and analytics-based ways of improving websites.
- Lead the collaboration with other web team members on web governance, site structure and our digital style guide.
- Lead a support plan within the team for regular content updating and accuracy checks for our sites. Working with an eye towards deadlines and priorities as defined within the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a communication or web content role.
- An inquisitive, collaborative individual with a strong sense of working towards goals and deadlines.
- AP Style competency, along with strong writing and communication skills expected.
- Knowledge, and experience with web analytics software, Google Analytics preferred.
- Clear understanding of how websites are built and organized

Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Drupal or another best-in-class web CMS’s expected.
- Comfortable with basic HTML and CSS concepts.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suites.
- Strong history of SEO-focused content improvement.
- Experience with video and audio editing software like, but not limited to: Adobe Premiere, Garage Band, Final Cut X, and Audacity is preferred.
- Experience in health care, academics or large, complex organization.
