Instructional Services Coordinator - Anesthesia - 50%
The Instructional Services Coordinator provides support to the Anesthesia Instructional Services Specialist and Sim Center Director. Will also assist the Quality and Operations Improvement Coordinator as it relates to the simulation center activities. Assists in the implementation of education, training and research programs associated with the patient simulator programs. Facilitates the achievement of operational and safety goals of the organization through operational support, development and performing simulation activities.
What you will do:
- Provide manikin (CAE Healthcare, Laerdal, and Gaumard) operations for the simulation center via established protocols.
- Schedule, prepare and provide logistics and support strategies for all programs related to the patient simulation center (e.g. Patient Simulations, PerioperativeTeam Simulations, Skills Workshops and Team-Based Simulation Design and Debriefing).
- Coordinate Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities related to the Anesthesia Department.
- Collect, enter, verify, format and present simulation and quality improvement statistics for faculty reviews, departmental administrative annual requirements and Joint Commission biannual reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation at conferences and workshops, and in the writing of project reports, articles and other documents.

What you will need:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Biological Sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage small and large group interaction
- Must be proficient in computer software applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology
Desirable Qualifications:
- 1-3 years in research, biological or a medical specialty
- 6 months - 1 year administrative, program, or teaching (developing teaching material)
- Experience in anatomy and physiology
- Lean Sigma
- The ability to diagnose, repair and maintain basic scientific equipment
