Academic Program Management Associate - Anesthesia
The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Aneshesia is seeking a Academic Clinical Program Management Associate to function as the Anesthesia Residency Program Coordinator - providing program leadership and management for the daily operations of the Residency Education Program and other education activities of the Department of Anesthesia.
Duties to include:
• Plan all activities related to resident recruitment.
• Provide information and guidance to prospective Residents and their families about university programs, and admission policies and procedures.
• Assist with planning and implementing on and off campus recruitment activities/programs.
• Assist with determining degree progression, career planning and retention
• Analyze admissions data; develop; maintain and monitor reports to support program goals
• Provide administrative support for resident’s academic projects or presentations
• Serve as liaison between program director and residents, between program director and chief residents, between residents and faculty, and between program director and institutional GME personnel
• New Resident Onboarding and Credentialing: the process of appointing new house staff to the institution; concurrent with this activity is terminating the graduating residents
• Ensures the program director is apprised of important deadlines and other information related about the program
• Assist with the development of academic program materials to meet departmental goals
• Develop budget proposals for residency activities
• Plans graduation activities for all trainee programs
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to manage small and large group interaction is required
• Must be proficient in computer software applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Desirable Qualifications
• 6 months to 1 year experience coordinating or managing a graduate medical education (residency or fellowship) program.
• Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Knowledge of ACGME requirements and standards.
