The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Food & Nutrition is seeking multiple openings for Clinical Dietitian I to use Nutrition Care Process to assess, evaluate, and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and nutrition counseling for patients in program areas as assigned.
- Uses Nutrition Care Process to assess, evaluate, and provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling for patients
- Teach dietetic interns
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and develops nutritional components of care
- Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient’s status according to age

The department intends to hire candidates from either Clinical Dietitian I, requisition 23004210, or Clinical Dietitian II, requisition 23004211, based on the qualifications of the successful candidate. Please apply to the specific position for which you which to be considered or both.
Percent of Time: 50% - 100%
Pay Grade: 5 https://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/pay-plans/seiu-pay-plan
Salary: $45,000 – Commensurate
Location: Multiple openings available for different areas such as IRL, Behavioral Health, Pediatric, Outpatient Dialysis, Adult GI Transplant, and more. Details can be discussed during interview.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Certifications
- Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required
- Licensure by the State of Iowa is required
